Pastor Retirement Cakes

These 2 large sheet cakes 12x18 and about 5 + inches tall were made for our Pastors retirement.  

Sometimes you have a cake fail and unfortunately the day I made these it was just a bad day! I baked the cake and went to torte it for filling and it just crumbled to tiny little pieces, there was no saving it! So it was off to the store for more ingredients.....long sigh.

Never the less the cakes got done and everyone enjoyed it at the retirement open house.

Veterans Day (Military) Cookies

I made these cookies for my husband to take to work to share with his co-workers. 

I always think its important to thank our Veterans (and active Military) for protecting Our Freedom. 
So thank you to all who are and have served in our Military. 

Its something we should do everyday not just on scheduled holidays!
