Tough Mudder 2013

Proud of my husband he is one "Tuff Mudder"  He started the course at 8:20 am and completed it 2 hrs later.  Not bad as a rookie and not bad compared to his other team mates one that finished at 2 hrs 20 min and 2 that finished at 3 hrs!  They all did good it was pretty muddy but couldn't have asked for a better day to be running through the mud and falling into the ice cold waters!

I finally caught up to my hubby on obstacle 16. I totally missed him at the beginning! I guess he was like a bolt of lightening and sped right on past!

Jumping 15 feet down into a muddy pond of cold water that was 14 feet deep...I caught him with the camera as he was going in.

 

Finally at the finish getting zapped with the electro shock therapy.

 

A cold beer and a head band and a T-Shirt to make it all worth it!

??What Frosting Will Win The Taste Test???

Ok so this cake looks more like a gender reveal cake but its more like this...I have two frostings that I use and I cant decide which one to be the one and only frosting to make.  They both are good and they both are very similar.  So I made my big list up of pros and cons of each frosting and still couldn't decide!  So I had an even brighter idea I made a cake and decorate it half and half and found some willing taste testers!  So out of 10 taste testers that tried a piece of "pink" and a piece of "blue" 5 chose "blue" and 5 chose "pink"  each tester said they were both good but they had to choose only 1!  So I decided to go with the frosting that I liked the best and the frosting that was the easiest to work with!

 

First Communion ~ Cake

A First Communion Cake made in the Wilton Book Pan.  Half chocolate half white cake and covered with Buttercream frosting.  Roses also made out of Buttercream

 

Happy Birthday ~Cake

A Happy Birthday sheet cake.... (forgive the pictures..night time in my house equals poor picture quality! ~photoshop helps a tad!)

 

Ready for nicer weather!

It was a long week, everyone in the house came down with the dreaded stomach bug and we couldn't enjoy the nice weather at the beginning of the week.  So what better way to celebrate recovery than to eat pizza and make smores inside on the "smore maker"  Summer cant get here fast enough!
